Bilateral Urothorax as a urinoma complication following a unilateral calyceal rupture

Abstract


Urothorax or urinothorax (UT) is a rare clinical entity caused by retroperitoneal urine leakage into the pleural space. We herein present a case of bilateral urothorax following a calyceal rupture on the right kidney as well as a short review of the literature.

Ο ουροθώρακας αποτελεί μια σπάνια κλινική παρουσίαση της διαρροής των ούρων στο υπεζωκοτικό χώρο. Παρουσιάζουμε μια περίπτωση αμφοτερόπλευρου ουροθώρακα μετά από ρήξη κάλυκα του δεξιού νεφρού ενώ ταυτόχρονα επιχειρείται και μια σύντομη ανασκόπηση της βιβλιογραφίας.
