Robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure for the managenent of renal masses. Current studies show that RAPN is a safe method, with satisfying results in terms of warm ischemia time (WIT) and consequently of renal function preservation, estimated blood loss (BL), complications and oncological outcomes.

Η ρομποτικά υποβοηθούμενη μερική νεφρεκτομή εντάσσεται στις ελάχιστα επεμβατικές χειρουργικές μεθόδους για την αντιμετώπιση νεφρικών όγκων. Πρόσφατες μελέτες δείχνουν οτι πρόκειται για ασφαλή μέθοδο, με ικανοποιητικά αποτελέσματα όσον αφορά τον χρόνο θερμής ισχαιμίας και κατ’επέκταση την διατήρηση της νεφρικής λειτουργίας, την απώλεια αίματος, τα ποσοστά επιπλοκών και τα ογκολογικά αποτελέσματα.
